Welcome to my world of wood, wire and wailing guitars.
I started playing when I was 11 years old, so by the time I completed college I was a total frethead!
I moved to Wellington in 1981 to party some more and found myslef fronting a punky band called Unrestful Movements which went on to do some recording and numerous gigs throughout New Zealand. It was during this time I began customising guitars in pursuit of the elusive perfect guitar.
By 1990 Unrestful Movements was over and I found myself living in Taupo again. First project was a band called Uranium Orchids which was short lived. But then Anti Trend was formed through many jams.
Anti Trend went on to play around Taupo, Rotorua and Tauranga. We did one recording session in which 4 demos were recorded. While in Anti Trend I kept customising guitars and totally rebuilt a 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom which planted the seed to build my own guitar.
2007 was when I moved to Tauranga. I sold my Les Paul and decided to build "GW1" after having customised a Jackson Randy Rhoads 3. I decided I wanted a V guitar and set about designing and building my "Dream Machine".
The guitar was finished in October 2007 and I love it. Many Musos have played it. Everyone agrees - "IT FKN ROCKS!"
I now play GW1, the custom Jackson and my slightly customed Ephiphone in a Tauranga based band called Driven.
As a result I now offer my skills to create that special custom or YOUR Dream Machine!
